Current Research Activities:
The Effect of Home Monitoring on Reducing Burden in Caregivers of Older Adults.

The purpose of this study is to determine if the use of a home monitoring system by a care recipient is an effective means to reduce caregiver burden and enhance satisfaction by (1) increasing control over the home environment, (2) reducing workload strain and safety concerns, and (3) enhancing communication via the Internet and the personal emergency response system.
