4. Transfer Disk

This transfer disk, known as the Beasy Transfer Board, includes two pieces: a long plastic board and a round disc that glides across the length of the board. The round disc can rotate 360° making it easy to sit, turn and slide across the board. The care recipient sits upon the round disc at one end of the board and the caregiver gently glides the care recipient across the length of the board. This reduces the effort needed by the care giver to move the care recipient's body. The larger style is typically used when the distance of the transfer is longer, such as, when transferring from wheelchair to car.
