2. The Transfer Pole
 This device was discussed earlier in the bathing section but because it is so versatile it can be installed anywhere in the house. It is basically a tension, vertical pole. The tension is adjusted at the floor at the pole's base. The care recipient can grasp onto the pole at various heights when standing or sitting. The pole will extend up to 90 inch ceilings. A horizontal bar attachment can be purchase if additional assistance is needed during pivoting.
